I'm a first semester nursing student (three semesters to go!) who taught high school biology for seven years. I taught IB and AP Biology outside of the D.C. area after I graduated with my Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Maryland in 2010. I enjoy talking about biology through stories and analogies and have a passion for helping others to understand the science in the world around them. While I typically taught in a classroom of 30 students, I have both informally and formally tutored high school students in IB and AP Biology one-on-one. When I'm not studying for nursing school, I enjoy paddleboarding on the Potomac River, listening to news podcasts, and learning how to be a better cook.
