I received my undergraduate and graduate degrees at the College of New Rochelle. My undergraduate degree is in Psychology and Social Work. My graduate degree is in Special Education and Early Childhood Education. I am a retired public school teacher. I taught Kindergarten through second grade. I taught chess in grades kindergarten through forth grade. While teaching I tutored students that were having difficultly in reading, writing and math. In addition, I taught Resource Room after school. Resource Room is a special education program for learning disabled students who are having academic difficulties. I like to tutor reading. If you can master the reading every thing else will fall into place. I tend to stress vocabulary and help put strategies in place.
Outside of tutoring I love to read. I also love to volunteer at an animal shelter. I socialize the animals so they will be ready for adoption.
