I am a graduate of St. George's School in Newport, RI, and McGill University in Montreal, QC. I received a First Class Joint Honors degree in International Development and Russian, and this is my first time living in Washington DC! I've been tutoring for five years in a variety of subjects, including math, reading, writing, and French. I used to teach nature camp, where I developed science curriculum for kids as young as 3 and as old as 12, but my favorite type of tutoring is with students who need help with college essays. I love working one-on-one with students to write an essay that is thoughtful and unique, and truly representative of their personality! In my free time, you can find me hiking, reading, or baking with my friends.

Q & A

How would you help a student get excited/engaged with a subject that they are struggling in?

Linking unfamiliar or difficult material to a subject area the student enjoys, like statistics and baseball, is a method I prefer for engaging struggling students!

How do you build a student's confidence in a subject?

I emphasize the positive progress they are making!
