I am a native French speaker and moved to the United States in 2008. I overcame a lot of challenges as I learned not only the English language but also the different academic subjects. Today, I am proud to be a Honor pre-medical student at Hunter College, pursuing a Behavioral Neurobiology BA. I have always enjoyed explaining areas I am passionate about to my friends and family. I currently tutor biology and US/European history. Growing up in France, I have always seen history as an important subject with lots to be discovered and understood. Though I understand the dates and events can seem tedious, I like to explain it in a simple, fun way, the same way you would explain a fictional story--except it will be true! As for biology, I have always found it to be a subject full of challenge and eureka moment. I like to explain it using visual clues, colors, and relate the different mechanisms and concepts to real life examples.

Outside of academics, I love outdoor activities as much as relaxing with a book. I love art, which very much reflects in my use of colors and drawings in my teaching style. Though I am not the most artistic person I enjoy helping friend’s out in their artistic projects, exhibitions, and practicing my creativity! I also enjoy physical fitness, because just like the brain I believe I need to train my muscles. Finally, I like to expand my knowledge of different culture by traveling and watching different types of movies, especially foreign films.
