After over 15 years working in the IT field, I decided to make a career change. Three years ago, I enrolled in a Masters of Education program with a focus on ESL. I graduated from Trinity Washington University and now work as an ESL Social Studies teacher to newcomers. “Newcomers” are students who have been in the United States for less than a year and speak limited to no English. I still pinch myself daily at the fact that I am now a teacher. I feel validated on a daily basis to know that I am making an impact in someone else's life. I am molding the future generation by teaching them English, the American culture, and the academic content necessary to achieve success.
I am also a father to three children who are 15, 10, and 4 years old. I am an active parent in their schooling and help them with their studies on a daily basis. I look forward to being a tutor for your scholar. Believe that I will give 100% of my best to make them the best that they can be. In the spring and summer, I play in a kickball and wiffleball league.
