I graduated with honors from Palma High School in Salinas, California, and am currently finishing the last year of my Bachelor's degree at the University of Southern California. My major, Narrative Studies, focuses on the science of how the human brain processes and stores information while also exploring the artistic merit of storytelling through different media. I am also minoring in Comparative Literature, where I have extensively studied poetry and prose from throughout history. I have become adept at crafting exceptional essays and communicating the characteristics of strong writing.
While English, Literature, Grammar, and Writing are the subjects I am most passionate about, I am also very excited to be tutoring SAT Prep and Middle School Math. Clear, patient, and friendly, I can help with difficult material and provide techniques for effective studying and test-taking.
There is a long list of teachers in my family, including both of my parents, so from a young age I learned about the importance of education and the positive impact a good teacher can have. During my free time I enjoy reading, writing or watching comedy, watching or playing basketball, and hiking.
