After growing up in the Bay Area, I headed east for college. I attended Tufts University where I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and Child Development. I moved back to the Bay Area after college and worked as a teacher in an after school program. There, I helped elementary school children with their school work and also taught classes such as Spanish and Drama. Currently I am finishing up my Master's Degree in Counseling Psychology at Santa Clara University. I have worked with students in a variety of settings. In addition to working in an after school program, I have taught Health to ninth graders in Boston Public schools, taught ice skating to children ages 5-12, assisted high school students with their college applications, taught English in an elementary school in Madrid, and worked as a teacher's assistant in my graduate school program. Currently, I help middle school students with study skills and academic planning. While the subject I am most passionate about is Psychology, I also love to tutor Biology, History, and Spanish. I also have to admit my love for vocabulary words which helps when studying for standardized tests such as the SATs and GREs! Academics have always been important to me, and I want to share my love for learning with all of my students. In my free time, I love to explore San Francisco, hike, play tennis, ice skate, play guitar, go to the beach and travel. My favorite trips so far have been to Kenya and Italy.
