I am a graduate of George Mason University. I received my Bachelor of Arts in History with a focus in American History. Since graduation, I have become a certified special education teacher in Fairfax County. I worked with students who had reading and math difficulties in elementary school. I worked with students in a title one school in Falls Church. While teaching, I had to prepare my students for the SOL tests. I am very familiar with the Fairfax County curriculum and the SOL. In my experience helping struggling students prepare for SOL, we always seem to have the most fun (with remarkable advancements) prepping for the Critical Reading and Math portion of the exams. I am a firm believer that education should be enjoyable; I love creating games to strengthen weaker areas or to help with test preparation. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family (I have a son who is four and a daughter who is 22 months), coaching my son’s soccer team, seeing movies, and training for a half marathon.
