While working towards my degree in French at the University of New Hampshire, I had the opportunity to study literature and translation at the Université de Bourgogne in Dijon, France. This experience furthered my knowledge of the French language and culture. Upon receiving my diploma, I returned to France where I worked for the French Ministry of Education instructing English in a French High School. This experience in France was invaluable to me, as it became the basis of my teaching career and also perfected my linguistic abilities. I went on to instruct both French and German in New Hampshire before relocating to the Bay Area with my husband. While tutoring, I find it to be important to identify each student's goals and work with their individual ability to lead them towards success. My favorite part of teaching is to create an interest in learning through my own passion as well as the interests of the student. In my spare time I enjoy writing, cycling, skiing, and surfing!
