My background includes a B.A. in Political Economy and History from the College of William & Mary, a Presidential Fellowship with the Center for the Study of the Presidency and Congress in D.C., and work experience at a think tank in Rome, Italy.

I have a broad liberal arts background, but I am especially good at helping students understand coursework in Politics/Government, World History, or International Affairs. I take a patient and nonjudgmental approach; no one is good at everything, but everyone can improve with practice and guidance. There are usually several ways to teach the same material, and I have a knack for finding the one that works. I enjoy using examples and analogies that help the student "get" and remember complicated concepts.

Preparing for standardized tests such as the SAT and GRE is much easier with a tutor to help you prioritize, strategize, and structure your time wisely. I took the GRE in 2013 and earned the top score in Critical Reading, so the latest version is fresh in my mind. I am glad to share the study strategies that worked for me, including tips on writing essays under pressure. If you suffer from test anxiety, I know some tricks psychologists use that may help increase your score.
