I'm a graduate of Johns Hopkins University, where I completed a double major in Psychology and French Literature. At Johns Hopkins, I was a founding member of Pi Delta Phi, which is the French National Honor Society. I completed my MA at The New School for Social Research. I'm currently working full time within the finance industry and completing an MBA through Johns Hopkins Carey School of Business.
I love learning, and I love helping others to enjoy the learning process as well. I like to approach subjects from different angles, as I think that it's important to not only learn the material for a specific subject, but to also discover which techniques and methods of learning work best for you or your child. In discovering how you best learn, you can improve your understanding and performance in all subjects!
I started my tutoring journey in 7th grade, when I tutored my slightly older friend for the Math B Regents. Seeing her excitement when she figured out a new concept is what inspired me to continue helping others in their educational endeavors. I tutored various people since then, helping them with subjects such as French, Biology, Physics, Math from the lower levels up until material for the Calculus BC AP test. I also have tutored for standardized tests, such as the SAT. Additionally, I have also helped others with writing assignments, such as essay formulation and editing.
I would love to help you or your child in the learning process of any of the variety of subjects that I work with. I hope to make the learning process a little bit more fun, and applicable to many aspects of your life!
