I've been tutoring for the past five years, and my students have ranged from early elementary school students with reading difficulties all the way up to graduate students who needed help getting articles ready for publication. Although I enjoy tutoring many subjects, my specialties are editing college essays, reading comprehension, and all levels of test prep. As an SAT tutor, my students often see great improvements in their abilities during the course of our sessions. Many of their improvements were 50 points over the improvements of other tutored students in the region.
During my time at Williams College, I studied Arabic, International Relations, and Film. I also traveled to Europe and the Middle East as part of my studies. In addition, I am a freelance writer, and my work has appeared in the Huffington Post, The Atlantic, and USA Today. I've also been a finalist for several national playwriting awards.
Most importantly, I love working with my students. Their success is my success and I firmly believe that everyone is capable of getting better, no matter how tough the subject matter. My favorite part about teaching is when students find themselves totally comfortable with a problem that once seemed impossible and frightening.
