The student has now scored his 4th consecutive 167+ on his practice tests. I may now officially record this as his modal score. I believe that what the student really needs from this point on is to practice the skills he's gained through tutoring on several more practice exams. I believe with the time dedicated to improving his performance will be maximally effective is he just hunkers down and plows through practice exams in the remaining week before his test day.

I spent most of the lesson teaching the student diagram techniques for binary grouping games. He seemed to have a good grasp of the material after further practice. Next week, we will review binary games and, if there is time, work a bit on open assignment games.

LSAT Tutoring review by Kathryn in Dallas Fort Worth, TX
This session the student and I finished the practice games that we started last session and then moved on to advanced linear games. She has gotten very comfortable with the linear games, these are just slightly more complicated as they add another variable into the mix for each question. First we went over how to diagram a game that has three or more variable - which variable to use as a base, and how the others fit in. We then went over how to diagram rules onto this master diagram in a way that effectively and clearly indicates what the rule is saying. We practiced these skills by doing an advanced linear diagramming drill, setting up various games and diagramming rules on to them. We then did one advanced linear LSAT game together. We will continue to work on these games next session.

LSAT Tutoring review by Paul in Dallas Fort Worth, TX
Today we worked through the logic games on the students first practice LSAT, where she scored a 133. I showed her how to set up each logic game, how to list the rules and how to use them for the different types of questions. She is still having trouble seeing how to set up the problems and remember the rules for each question.
