I am graduate of Cornell University with a B.S. in Hotel Administration. Currently, I am a Masters student at the University of Southern California at the Rossier School of Education. Since graduating from Cornell, I have worked as a tutor and teacher's assistant with a focus in English, Spanish, French, and Algebra 1. I have worked with students of all ages and backgrounds from elementary education to adults improving business writing or learning Spanish from scratch. I have a passion for language and enjoy sharing that passion with others. My favorite subject to tutor is Spanish because I know that learning a new language can be daunting, and I like helping students overcome that feeling. I hold my students to high standards and ensure that I work to give them the support and guidance they need to achieve those standards. I am a devoted tutor and life-long learner. I graduated from Indiana University Bloomington with a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience and minors in Theatre & Drama and Biology. I was recently accepted to medical school and will begin my MD education this fall. I have experience tutoring a broad range of subjects, including science, math, history, and English, but my personal interests lie within the sciences. I have tutored students with diverse classroom and educational needs. I find joy in tailoring specific learning strategies to each of my students to provide them with individualized and quality support. I am interested in becoming involved in educational policy at the national level later on in my life. Teaching is a joy that has always rivaled the happiness I receive from reading a great poem or communicating in another language. English and French literature are the two great passions of my life, and it is when I'm teaching that I feel most like I am doing meaningful and rewarding work. When I'm not reading poetry or practicing my French, I like boogie-boarding (a recently acquired skill), hiking, baking (often French desserts), and knitting.

I am a graduate of Loyola Marymount University. I received my Bachelor of Science in Biology and played four years of Division 1 soccer. I will be attending medical school in Fall 2019 at Creighton University. With 7 years of tutoring under my belt, 4 of which included working as a peer tutor for LMU Athletics, I have developed a strong passion for assisting others inside and out of the classroom to reach successful academic goals. I believe having a strong foundation in education is important for future success in our careers and relationships. As a STEM major, I have focused on tutoring in math and sciences as I enjoy working through problems with my students in an engaging manner and finding which methods work for them.
