As a lifelong learner and a former student of math, reading, and standardized test programs, I have learned how valuable an encouraging and motivating tutor can be.I started working at Kumon Math and Reading in 2012, and found a love for helping others learn. Overcoming their obstacles became a personal victory for me, and I enjoyed meeting with clients one or two days a week and watching them grow in their confidence in math and reading problems. I began nannying in 2014, and doing homework or practicing instruments is still my favorite time of the day.I believe the environment surrounding learning is the key to success. I graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a Bachelor's Degree in History. Since then, I've worked in the non-profit sector as a teacher for children and adults for the last three years.While I tutor a variety of subjects, I particularly enjoy teaching History, Writing, and Literature.
