My goal is to instill in my clients a love for tough subjects and set them on a path of academic success.I have experience in the California public school system as a long-term 10th grade English substitute teacher, and have taught middle school and high school level history in this capacity. Having passed multiple A.P. exams and attained a bachelor's degree in history from the University of California at Berkeley, I wish to engage the prospective college student with learning methodologies that aided me along the way. Some examples would be:1. Crafting cohesive and structured essays, with emphasis on paragraph cohesion, thesis statements, and word choice.2. Analyzing historical contexts and themes, so that the student will grasp the "big picture" while also answering specific questions pertaining to names, dates and important moments along the timeline.Currently, I publish original research for the Terrorism Research and Analysis Consortium, (TRAC) hold a M.A. in Nonproliferation and Terrorism Studies from the Monterey Institute of International Studies.I look forward to helping students succeed at school as a Varsity Tutor!

Hello,My name is Kyli and I've been teaching for more than a decade.I've lived and worked in 8 countries and my favorite hobby is traveling.I have a MA in International Policy Studies with a specialization in Terrorism Studies and French Studies and a BA major in French.When I'm not working, I enjoying cycling on my 14 speed bike, jogging, relaxing in the steam room and sauna, practicing French or Italian, and keeping up on international current events.

I now live in Gilbert, Arizona. Previously, I was a government contractor and have a long background in education. I have an MA in French and international relations from Middlebury Institute of International Studies. My BA was from Emory University in International Studies plus linguistics. I speak three languages and have extensive experience teaching them, including English. I personally learned English through ESL classes and a few other languages in my adult years so I know how difficult it can be but also how rewarding it is to see life through different languages and cultures. I'm an expert in international relations, history, linguistics, and most humanity subjects. I feel confident in these areas due to my education and work experience in government in DC and abroad.
