I am a retired Army Licensed Practical Nurse. I have been a nurse for 20 years. I teach anatomy and physiology, NCLEX preparation, TEAS prep, and healthcare administration. I have a Master's in Healthcare Administration and a Bachelor's in Health Education. I taught the LPN program for over 2 years in the Army. I enjoy teaching all ages and all skill levels. I also teach art to include drawing, color theory, and art history. I am a pro with many computer programs to include Microsoft Suite products and Adobe Illustrator. I studied fine art at Herron School of Art prior to joining the Army and I specialize in oil painting and drawing. I have created a comprehensive lesson plan that can be used for the NCLEX-RN or NCLEX-PN exams. I am currently working on a new TEAS prep plan for the new ATI TEAS exam. I believe there is a strategy for anyone that can relieve test anxiety and boost confidence.

I have a Bachelor's of Science in Chemistry and a Master's of Science in Leadership. My academic background and my innate desire to help others are two of many reasons why I love tutoring.Helping others and employing a Servant Leadership style is an innate trait of mine. I enjoy helping others in all aspects of life. Simply witnessing a student experience an 'aha' moment, or the mere excitement they experience when their grade improves or they pass a major exam simply brings a smile to my face and joy to my heart.Over the last decade I have been working in the Earth Science field as a Meteorologist/Oceanographer. I absolutely love math and science.I really take pride in helping others achieve academic success and I have a unique way of truly helping others understand the material. Helping others in any aspect of life has always been a true passion of mine.Being able to live out my life's purpose of helping others achieve success is awesome and I simply enjoy it.Tutors have a very unique role that is rather different from that of a parent or teacher. Tutors have to reach deep into the student's mind and gain a deeper understanding of how the student thinks, interprets, and analyzes information. This is a prerequisite in addition to have the ability to present the material in an easy to understand format.I am excited to play a role in this process in which in the end everyone's a winner!
I graduated from San Diego State University with a Bachelor's degree in Spanish. I was able to study abroad in Spain for a few weeks of one of my semesters in college. This was an amazing experience that I highly recommend! I love teaching high schoolers, but I've taught Spanish to K-12th grade. I earned my Master's degree in Education from Trident University and have been teaching middle and high school for 22 years. I love teaching Spanish and finding a variety of ways to help my students learn this fun language. I have traveled to many Spanish speaking countries and I enjoy sharing my experiences with my students.

I spent 34 years in the Air Force as a Navigator and leader instructing in two aircraft and commanded the flying portion of the MC-130 schoolhouse. I tutor geography, AFOQT and social studies. I am passionate about making sure that individuals who have the calling to be a nurse can become a nurse. My nursing education includes graduation from a hospital-based school of nursing and a Master's Degree in Nursing Education from the University of North Carolina - Charlotte. I have a total of almost 30 years of practice and educating nurses on all levels (CNAs to hospital staff) in a variety of settings. I enjoy working with non-traditional adult students who are changing careers and may need that extra attention to get them to their destination.I respect that each learner learns differently, and try to help learners discover their unique learning style. I try to incorporate test-taking strategies whenever I am teaching. The NCLEX (RN and PN) is about deeply understanding the subject matter and being able to apply in in theoretical, real-life situations.
