I am a graduate of Columbia University with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. My academic background and hands-on research experience have given me a deep and practical understanding of physics and mathematics. I have extensive tutoring experience, particularly in preparing students for the New York State Regents in physics, earth science, and algebra.

Throughout my career, I've conducted research in STEM education at the Rochester Institute of Technology, led a fusion technology project at Columbia's Plasma Physics Lab, and explored optics at the University of Rochester. These opportunities have allowed me to approach complex scientific and mathematical problems from real-world perspectives, which I bring directly into my tutoring sessions. My goal is always to break down intimidating concepts into clear, manageable steps that help students gain both understanding and confidence.

I'm passionate about tutoring because I know what it's like to struggle. In university, I needed help with my upper-level courses and experienced firsthand the power of supportive one-on-one teaching. I remember how difficult it was to ask for help, but also how transformative it was once I did. That experience is what drives me now. I want students to know that it's okay not to know something, and that asking questions is not a weakness, it's the first step to mastery.

In every session, I aim to create a welcoming, judgment-free space where students feel empowered to make mistakes, ask questions, and take control of their learning. Mistakes are not failures; they're the key to discovering where your gaps of understanding are, and that is where the learning begins. Together, we can turn confusion into clarity and build the skills and confidence you need to succeed.

In my free time, I enjoy baking sourdough and banana bread, trying new dinner recipes, and getting active with running or hiking.
