I am currently a grad student in NC State's School of Education. I love education and working with folks of all ages to learn. I've been tutoring in some capacity for over 15 years. At first, I primarily taught swim lessons, and then, overtime, I branched out to a myriad of subjects from rock climbing to essay writing and test prep. These days I focus on literacy, organization/executive function skills, test prep, and writing.

I am a recent graduate of Williams College, where I studied political science with sidelines in history and English. Next fall, I am headed to Ithaca to study at Cornell Law School. I am passionate about. I am most passionate about English, literature, and history. My approach to tutoring stresses deeper understanding of topics and underlying concepts, as opposed to learning just to pass test questions. I further believe in teaching towards individual student's learning styles and adapting towards individual needs so as to maximize progress and learning.
