I believe that learning is a life-long process that provides opportunities to grow as individuals. As I learn, I am able to impart this knowledge to others and share ideas to help create a better world. No matter how young or old a person is, they have the potential to both teach and be taught new things. As a tutor and a coach, I am always learning and exploring new ideasmany of which come from those whom I teach.

When working with my clients, my first priority is to learn how they see and experience the world. This gives me a better understanding of their learning style and provides insight into how to connect concepts to their own experiences. This connection leads to an increase in retention and practical application.

My educational background, qualifies and gives me a unique perspective as a tutor. I graduated from Penn College of Technology with an Associate's of Applied Sciences Degree in Building Construction Technology in 2008. I worked in construction for eight years, returning to school to earn my Bachelor's of Fine Arts in Business Management from APUS in 2016. I gained journeyman carpenter status through the AGC in 2016, and obtained my National E and F soccer coaching licenses in 2017. In 2025 I received a certificate of completion for the "Foundations of Tutoring" course offered through Florida State. Through this course, I was introduced to the concept of HIT, or High Impact Tutoring, a model I intend to include in my own tutoring.

My professional background in the construction industry gives me practical knowledge of math and science concepts, as well as writing and communication skills. In addition, I have been coaching soccer and working with students and athletes to help them achieve their goals for over 23 years. These experiences give me a unique, real-world application perspective that I incorporate into my tutoring style.

I love learning and am open to tutoring any course of study for students 15 and under; because I use math and science daily, I am most confident in these disciplines. I am excited to take this journey with you as we learn new things together.
