I am most recently a graduate of Erikson Institute where I received my Master's in Early Childhood Education with a focus on Language and Literacy. I received my undergrad from the University of South Carolina- Beaufort also in Early Childhood Education. Following my undergrad graduation, I began teaching in a S.C. public elementary school in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grades. I taught collectively for 6 years and loved every second of it! While I adore teaching all elementary subjects, my passion lies with teaching reading. Learning to read is such a personal journey for everyone, often times loving to read gets lost in the learning experience. I aim to instill even a hint of this love in each and every one of my students because reading takes you places! I encourage my students to take the lead in their learning and follow their own passions while fulfilling educational requirements in all subject areas, of course, with myself as merely the facilitator for this educational journey.
