I'm a former military air traffic controller and a graduate of the University of Colorado Boulder with a Bachelor of Arts in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology. While studying for my degree, I worked as a Learning Assistant for undergraduate students taking upper division Evolution classes. As a Learning Assistant I helped students comprehend complex evolutionary concepts and basic data manipulation/visualization using R and R studio. Additionally, I worked in the reputable Safran Lab of CU Boulder studying sexual selection in Hirundo rustica erythrogaster (North American Barn Swallow).
My passions include: the philosophy of science, evolution, literature, theology, music, learning, skateboarding, and soccer. I am most happy when learning a new skill or concept, exploring abstract ideas with friends, and when teaching engaged and interested students.
