I am currently an undergraduate student at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. I am majoring in applied mathematics with an emphasis in business management and computer science, as well as a minor in business. I graduated with honors from the AMSAT (Academy of Math, Science, Arts, and Technology) at Clark High School in Las Vegas, Nevada. As my choice of study would imply, I am very passionate about math. Math mastery leads to logical and problem-solving skills that will benefit anyone in any career or situation throughout their lives. I currently tutor math, middle school math, pre-algebra, and algebra. I also have a passion for helping others to learn. I currently teach and tutor in violin and have done so for a couple of years. I used to be a swim instructor during the summers in high school; I have also helped to tutor fellow peers in informal settings. When I'm teaching a subject, I try to help you master the topic or subject, not just pass the test or finish the assignment. I love helping others to gain knowledge and grow through learning. Outside of academics, I have been playing the violin since kindergarten. I also enjoy reading, calligraphy/lettering, and baking. I'm a major Harry Potter lover and a big fan of superhero movies and TV shows. My ultimate goal after graduation is to provide an opportunity for refugee children and families to receive an education, specific to their needs, to help better their lives; they all have the potential for great success and I want to provide the tools to get them there.
