I am a 2017 graduate of Harvard College, and received my Bachelor in Arts (AB) in Chemistry with a minor in French. Additionally, I have a Master of Science (MS) in Biomedical Science from Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. I am currently conducting biochemistry and molecular pharmacology research at Harvard Medical School. During my time in college and graduate school, I have been involved in several education and public service programs. I have extensive tutoring, teaching, and mentoring experience through working and/or directing for afterschool and summer school programs, as well as being a private tutor. While I tutor a broad range of subjects, some of my favorite subjects to tutor include math, biology, chemistry, and standardized tests (ACT, SAT, GRE, etc.). I have substantial tutoring experiences in all grade levels (K-12, college, and graduate school). Also, I am a strong advocate of the impact that proper and thorough educational instruction can have on a student's success in and out of the classroom. Patience, repetition, and building confidence are at the core of my teaching philosophy. I am very patient with the students I work with, I encourage practice and repetition of the foundational concepts of a subject, and I aim to instill in the students that I work with confidence in their ability to succeed and work towards their educational goals no matter their prior experiences.
