I am from Louisiana and lived in Texas for ten years before going overseas to teach. In the states, I not only taught elementary and middle school learners, but also adult learners. Working with adult learners gave me proved to be an exciting undertaking because of their willingness to become better skilled in learning to write and read English. Teaching Adult Literacy was impactful because I could relate to their life circumstances. Each person had a story to tell and I was there to listen.

Teaching internationally has allowed me to experience different cultures and travel the world. The best thing about teaching is how a child's face lights up when they learn something new. Children can learn anything if given the time and with enthusiasm. They have their own unique style of learning across various disciplines. My role is to discover their strengths and individuality and work alongside them to maximize their potential. My aim is to empower students to become reflective and independent learners equipped with a strong foundation and critical thinking skills that enable them to take on new and unfamiliar challenges as they grow. Working with students from around the world is an opportunity that keeps on giving every day. I love teaching!!!
