I went over the basics of six sigma with the student, looking at a problem from her text. We did some work together on setting this problem up so she can perform the necessary computations and we computed and compared descriptive statistics. The student will be sending me her work and I will be taking a look at it.

The student and I met today to review for his upcoming history final. Together, we initiated the process of filling out his study guide, and looked over previous in-class notes, as well as his textbook, in order to complete various historical sections. We reviewed key dates, figures, and concepts from the semester, and the student is going to continue working on the guide in preparation for our next meeting.

Today was the student's geometry tutoring session and it went very well. We covered using the service area formulas for prisms and cylinders. The most advanced problems involved composite figures but he was up for the challenge. Some other problems we worked on involved describing how the surface area changes as the dimensions change. The student did excellent work today!

I went over a previous quiz with the students and taught them tips and tricks for fractions and division, but I also noticed that they rush their homework and quizzes because the mistakes being made are as simple as just leaving out a negative or adding when it is a negative. We will continue to address this in future sessions.
