Tutoring review by Matthew in Magnolia, NJ
We went over how to solve systems of linear equations by graphing, substitution, and elimination. The student was unfamiliar with the material, but caught on quickly as I explained each of the concepts. After I reviewed the material, I had the student try several practice problems. She tends to make small algebraic errors (e.g. subtracting negative numbers from positive and negative numbers), but she definitely understands the concepts. At the end of our session, I explained how to solve systems of equations that have three unknown variables.
