Tutoring review by Abdul in New Brunswick, NJ
The student and I covered maps and how to interpret topographic maps. We went through several maps and analyzed several aspects of the map such as depth, elevation, borders, etc. We also worked on how to use the scale provided on the map and a piece of paper to calculate the distance (actual distance) between two points on a map that is drawn to illustrate. The student felt confident in her ability to use and analyze maps after this session.

Vocabulary for sentence completions, critical reading strategies review, and grammar rule review will be the primary areas. Homework consists of memorizing 25 high frequency vocab words, purchasing a number of prep books, and doing a practice reading and writing section by Sunday's meeting.
