I then enlisted in the military and was sent to Kodiak, AK, to work in an outpatient clinic and specialized in MEDEVAC missions on our C130. Later, I was transferred to St. Petersburg, FL, where I served as the Independent Duty Health Services Technician onboard a U.S. Coast Guard boat operating out of the Caribbean.Currently, I work at Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital in the Pediatric Emergency Center, where I provide high-quality care to our youngest patients 0-21 years old. In addition to my extensive EMT experience, I hold several advanced certifications, including Advanced Life Support (ALS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), STABLE, and CPR Instructor.As a tutor, I focus on preparing students for the NREMT certification. My favorite subjects to teach are environmental emergencies, trauma, and pediatric emergencies. A short time later, I enrolled at Kansas State University and earned a Master's degree in Personal Financial Planning. Recently, I've earned the Behavioral Financial Advisor (BFA) designation and the Retirement Income Certified Professional (RICP) designation. I've worked in several industry roles from client service, back office roles, compliance, management, personal advising and planning and retirement consulting. When I'm not focusing on my craft I enjoy spending time with my family and am an avid college and professional football fan.
