Tutoring review by Jessica in Atlantic Highlands, NJ
During this session, the student and I worked on her math review, which involved Personal Finance and Interest Rate problems. We spent the rest of the hour reviewing her science vocabulary from the entire semester. She is retaining the vocabulary very well. We also discussed her finals schedule for next week and what she needs to do to prepare. Next Wednesday she has Math, Science, and Social Studies, and next Thursday she has Speech and Language Arts.

Tutoring review by Raymond in Atlantic Highlands, NJ
The student took the AP test this past Wednesday and he felt pretty confident about it. The short answer section (but not the answers) were posted online and we went through the problems he had difficulty on. He got the majority of them correct and the ones which were incorrect he got partial credit on in my estimation. I think he did very well on that section. We spent the remainder of the session discussing his final which will be late next week. I did a whole mini-review of all of the important material he's covered over the course of his class (since the test is cumulative). I covered more in depth the sections he had trouble on throughout the semester: Bias, study design, type I and II errors, and a few other smaller points throughout the book. He should be good to go for his final.

The student and I looked at coordinate geometry, including functions and linear equations to start off our session, as he had struggled previously on those question types. Overall, he seemed to get more comfortable with the topics. We also looked at the writing section of the exam, focusing on the most common sentence errors and how to spot them. We finished with a brief foray into the critical reading section, looking at two short passages just to keep our skills sharp.
