Tutoring review by Jeremiah in Westville, NJ
I assisted the student with her geometry, which consisted of reflections and rotations. Since she did not have any worksheets with her, I created some problems, showed her the method of how to solve the problems and gave her some practice problems for her to solve. She was having the most trouble with rotations. After giving her some practice problems, she improved greatly in figuring out how to arrive at the solutions.

Both girls were struggling with word problems containing fractions and whole numbers. We practiced several of these to ensure that both girls understood how to work the problem independently. After, we worked on a little bit of science including finding volume and density.

Tutoring review by Caroline in Westville, NJ
Today, the student and I went over addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division of rational expressions. He felt comfortable with the concepts, so we spent the session doing various practice problems. Just like last week, the problems involved factoring in order to simplify our rational expressions. He seemed to struggle a bit more when it came to addition and subtraction of rational expressions, but he did very well with the multiplication and division. Nonetheless, the student did well on the problems and just needs some more practice to help him think more quickly and get used to solving them.

Tutoring review by Raymond in Westville, NJ
Today we went over a few more problems from the student's practice test booklet. As his class has finished the book assignments, we're just going to be doing AP practice from here on out. We did short answer as well as multiple choice practice problems. The material is essentially everything we've covered over the course of the class. Some topics we covered specifically were biases, study design, regression output, analyzing distributions, and probability. I also covered some good test taking tips for use on the AP test. We will be continuing with much the same format on Saturday.

We spent the majority of the time on geometry. It took a while to cover all of the material because it's a rather large unit with a lot of formulas. The student has a test on Friday on the unit.
