I am looking to help students understand and learn whatever materials they are having trouble with. I have tutored for roughly 2 years while I was in high school. I'm currently in my third year of studying Biomedical Engineering at Drexel University. I would like to aid students in any way possible.

Q & A

What is your teaching philosophy?

I teach students through examples and problem solving.

What might you do in a typical first session with a student?

I would ask the student to go over what topics he/she needs help on. I would also ask what is his/her typical learning style and what works best.

How can you help a student become an independent learner?

I can help a student become an independent learner by showing him methods that best help his ability to understand the material.

How would you help a student stay motivated?

I would tell the student to not give up. He can understand and get the material. He just needs to keep working and he'll get it.

What strategies have you found to be most successful when you start to work with a student?

I like to learn about the student's learning style and what fits his needs. Then I approach helping the student in that direction.
