This session we went through the section 6 online exam covering law of sines, cosines, vectors, dot products, and De Moivre's theorem. The student was quick and picked up any new concept with ease. She seemed to be well-versed in section 6. Moving on to section 7 next weekend.

Tutoring review by Melinda in Kenilworth, NJ
The student and I briefly reviewed content for her upcoming test/quiz at the beginning of our session. After she said that she felt like she understood the material, we moved on to reviewing chapters 1-3 of her textbook in preparation for her final exam. She seemed to do fine throughout the review and made very few mistakes. She mentioned that she did well on her quiz on radicals last Monday that we prepared for.

Tutoring review by Stephen in Kenilworth, NJ
The student continues to excel in writing. I believe the 2 week break did him some good, as he came back with more focus. It seems the only thing we have to get over now is his ability to free write alone. Many times when he free writes he races to the end. This attitude creates mistakes. We will continue to work on this.

Tutoring review by Michael in Kenilworth, NJ
The student and I met for the first time last night. Since it was our first meeting, I just wanted to get a feel for how she was understanding some of the early material and what she was struggling with. We spent a considerable time on multiplication, addition, and subtraction. She told me that they had not gotten to division yet. Her mom informed me that some of the things that she struggles with include rounding, counting money, and telling time. I am going to attempt to look online to see if I can find some helpful resources for her, as well as some material we can use during our sessions together.

Tutoring review by Monica in Kenilworth, NJ
The student went through most of a chapter and it was time to review for the chapter 4 test. We focused on prepositions and conjugating stem-changing verbs. She asked lots of good questions and was able to clarify several concepts that had been foggy. I am impressed at how dedicated she is to not just getting a good grade, but also to truly learning.
