How can LSAT tutoring help you succeed?

If you are about to graduate with your undergraduate degree and are looking ahead to law school, then you will also need to look into test prep for the Law School Admission Test (LSAT). This exam is a requirement for law school admission and the results are considered heavily when schools are accepting students. This means you will want to show up on exam day as ready as possible. Enter a private tutor. Varsity Tutors can help you find professional LSAT tutoring in New Jersey. You can meet with a tutor to get assistance with test prep at a time and place that works best for you. Your tutor understands that because the test dates occur during the school year, you are likely already very busy. Because of this they can be flexible to your schedule and even meet with you online.

New Jersey LSAT tutoring can provide benefits that study groups, test prep books and courses, and practice tests alone may not. Because you are the only student that your tutor is teaching during your session, your personal studying needs can be focused on. Your tutor may choose to give you a practice exam when you first meet to help determine exactly what those studying needs may be. Once you have pinpointed your weak areas, you and your tutor can devise a tailor-made study plan just for you. You can decide if you want to cover each section of the exam (logical reasoning, analytical reasoning, reading comprehension, and essay), or just a few sections. The choice is yours.

Today was my first session with the student and it was a blast! We began with reviewing direct and indirect articles, singular and plural adjectives and possessives. She has a good beginning foundation to the language, asks great questions and is very easy to work with.

Went over chapter 16 for upcoming finals. The student is grasping equilibrium concepts fairly well. He is also getting a good grip on acid-base chemistry. We did practice problems from the book and he was able to demonstrate a good understanding of ICE table problems. I identified the key aspects of acid-base chemistry and emphasized that he study those key concepts fairly well.

Today we worked on reading comprehension, fractions, division, and word problems. Discussed strategies he could use when working on a longer reading passage. He did well using prior knowledge and context clues to answer vocabulary related questions. We will work more on charts and data.

LSAT Tutoring review by Jaclyn in New Jersey
We covered each section to make sure we touched on everything before the big day. There were a few topics he hadn't learned in math that we went through. The student could be a bit more careful when looking at graphs, making sure he's using the correct units/axes. He should also simplify the more complex questions so that they become more manageable to remember as he turns to the charts for the answer. For the longer questions on English, he'll improve if he focuses on what they're asking for (best transition, most descriptive, etc.). As for Reading, he seems to do better when he slows down a bit, and then answers the question from the passage before going to the answer choices.

LSAT Tutoring review by Grant in New Jersey
I brought my PS book with me, in order to have more practice problems for the student, especially in the math section. He worked diligently for the entire time, but had some trouble with math concepts, including remembering and recognizing in the questions the special cases of right triangles.
