As someone who has been tutoring for years, I recognize the value of customizing lesson plans to individual students. Sometimes learning topics once in the classroom is not enough, or there is not enough support offered for students who have questions. I am passionate about creating individualized lesson plans to address a tutee's needs, so that the student can thrive. I have a long list of resources that can provide alternative ways to learn, whether that's through well-written textbooks, videos or interactive virtual tools. I aim to be patient and encouraging of questions - I don't give answers, but I will work with a student step-by-step until they understand it well enough to answer it on their own.
As a life-long learner and biomedical engineering student, I also want to make learning fun! Given my major and the research work I've done, I am confident that I could contextualize what students are learning in the classroom so that they can understand what they learn is not in a vacuum.
