Today we reviewed the student's science homework. She is working on covalent and ionic bonds. She had completed several worksheets her teacher had assigned that we reviewed together. Afterwards, I made her a couple of pages of practice problems where she had to draw the bonds. She did really well with this and has a good understanding of the concepts. She has a test coming up soon on these concepts.

The student and I went through the next episode of Mi Vida Loca together. In these episodes, he learned how to use the words for directions and how to ask and answer some simple questions. I also introduced him to YouTube videos with songs to help him memorize the alphabet and numbers in Spanish.

During this session, the student and I worked on solving inverse differential equations from his textbook. After going over a few practice problems, he got the hang of how to go about solving these types of problems. I left him with more of these types of problems to give him a better grasp on the concept.

Tutoring review by Aleksandra in Freehold, NJ
The session was started by the student correcting the answers to the math practice test he took the last time we met, and I graded the homework I gave him. After he was done, he corrected his homework and then took a reading practice test. After that, we together played a math game we played a previous time we met that works on probability and chance. We completed one round of the game, and then he took another reading practice test. This one had passages he had to read and underline information before answering the questions. I graded this test; he corrected it, and then we began working on the writing essay portion that is in the test. He read the prompt out loud, and we brainstormed ideas together. I left the rest for him to complete on his own before our next session.
