Private In-Home and Online Accounting Tutoring

Receive personally tailored Accounting lessons from exceptional tutors in a one-on-one setting. We help you connect with in-home and online tutoring that offers flexible scheduling and your choice of locations.
How can a tutor assist you in conquering Accounting?

Are you having trouble understanding the money measurement concept? How about the business entity concept? If this sounds like you, or you have been struggling with accounting assignments as of late, then you may want to think about getting yourself a private tutor. Varsity Tutors can assist you in locating professional accounting tutoring in New Jersey. You have free rein over the scheduling of tutoring sessions; you can choose both a place and a time that work best for you and your busy schedule. You can even meet online with your tutor to cover concepts such as neutrality and going concern.

New Jersey accounting tutoring can offer you one-on-one attention that you would not receive in a large classroom filled with students. This means your tutor can focus solely on your individual learning needs and goals. You can pick and choose which topics to cover in depth, which concepts to briefly review, and which concepts to skip altogether. Say, for instance, you understand faithful representation completely, need a bit of a refresher on owner's equity, and would like an in-depth lesson on liabilities. In this case, you and your tutor can decide to skip the concepts you have already grasped, review the topics you wish to review, and spend the majority of your time going over the areas you struggle with. In the same way, you can go over each concept at a pace that you are comfortable with. Your confusion may stem from your instructor going over information too quickly for you to understand or ask questions. Your tutor can slowly walk you through concepts such as prudence and substance over form, allowing for plenty of time for any questions you may have.

Accounting Tutoring review by Cyre in New Jersey
We started with the book diagnostic test and did two timed sections on SAT Writing, making detailed corrections after each one. We continued with this pattern for two more writing sections, as well as two Reading sections. There was no single common mistake that the student would make in these exercises - he makes fairly good use of his time and knows which problems he will need to leave blank, but our plan is to get used to the different types of questions (and pacing) in order for him to get better time management and percent correct.

The student and I spent our session going over the second half of his algebra 2 course. This included adding, subtracting, and multiplying matrices, understanding graphs with inequalities, solving 3 variable equations, and working with parallelograms and triangles. He struggles with basic algebra (solving a one variable equation), but he was able to use matrices to solve for 3 variable equations.

The student and I continued doing exactly what we had done the day previously: we went question by question on the sentence-completion and comprehensive reading portions of the verbal section and dissected each question.  I also made him a list of fifteen vocabulary words to study and memorize before our session this coming Saturday.

Today, the student and I reviewed some basic Spanish verb conjugations (present tense) and practiced speaking in Spanish for about half an hour. We also reviewed some of her past curriculum, talked about various activities and study strategies she has practiced in the past, and possible activities and themes to focus on for the future. She has a true desire to learn and is self motivated, which is awesome! By the end of only half an hour speaking in Spanish, she was already putting to use some of the verb conjugations and new phrases we had talked about earlier in the session.

In this session with the student, we prepared for her finals the next day in Chemistry and Algebra 2. To prepare for both of these exams, we went over worksheets that were assigned to her that covered all the materials that would be on her exams.

To recap some of what we went over today: 1. Before you start solving a problem, step back and ask "what exactly is it asking for?" and write down the format/ equation for how you get there. 2. When you do a practice problem, after you complete one write down what was easy and what didn't make sense. 3. Please try and do some problems before our next session so we can go over specific things.
