We are continuing to go through the student's assessment exam packet. I plan on making sure that I have a lesson plan, so I am not trying to tackle multiple subjects at one time.

During this session we covered multiplication of fractions using the methods that the student has been learning in school. Tutoring review by James in Hamburg, NY
Thursday was the student's 3rd Algebra 2 tutoring session. It was very successful! We completed a review of all concepts and topics under logarithms. Questions from this review included converting between exponential and logarithmic form, converting between natural exponential and logarithmic form, evaluating logarithms, evaluating natural logarithms, change of base formula, product property of logarithms, quotient property of logarithms, power property of logarithms, solving exponential equations using factoring, common and natural logarithms, and solving logarithmic equations. The student did a spectacular job of moving very quickly through about 25 problems, combining many properties and rules of logarithms, recognizing patterns, and completing most calculations mentally. He truly understands the big ideas and specific details of logarithms. The student is very responsible, hard-working, and self-motivated to learn and get a big jump start on reviewing and studying for the final exam. Excellent work!
