I am a huge believer in giving every child his or her best chance at success by providing them with the proper tools, including a happy and healthy environment for learning. Every day, especially during my current student teaching placement, I try to reflect that in teaching my students regardless of outside factors. I am highly committed to all of my students and set high expectations for success. This can easily be fulfilled by a great teacher who believes in the student, parent involvement and a great administrative support team.

I have enjoyed solving problems and identifying patterns from a young age. As a result, mathematics has become my favorite subject in life. I have been curious to discover how mathematics affects our daily life in the real world. It is exciting to solve different types of problems by using analytical skills and mathematical knowledge. I believe being a mathematician is right for me.I have been tutoring since 2007. I have gained understanding of mathematical concepts. It has really attracted me to learn and teach math. It is really a pleasure to teach Algebra, Geometry, middle and high school math at different places such as at Lehman College, learning centers or private one-to-one sessions. It has been an inspiration in that I have discovered ideas and a way of thinking which I didnt know.In my own time, I enjoy travelling, reading, listening music and swimming. I work as a school business administrator full time and teach math part time to the kids. I love working with young people and seeing their minds and mathematical ability develop. I look forward to get opportunity to meet and interact with young people to increase their math knowledge and abilities.

I am a graduate of Hobart and William Smith Colleges and CUNY Lehman College. I received my Bachelor of Arts in English with a focus on Creative Writing and my Masters in English Education (grades 7 - 12). Since 2018, I've helped students through the Pathways to Graduation program achieve their High School Equivalency diploma by passing the TASC exam. My content focus for this exam has been English (reading and writing) and Social Studies. My teaching philosophy (especially when it comes to standardized tests) stems from my background in athletics. My whole life, I've competed, and what I've learned is this: the harder you practice, the easier the game will be. Regardless of the topic I teach, I aim to bring a variety of different examples and practice questions in order to see the topic from every angle - that way, by the time the test comes around, there's nothing that hasn't been seen before. When I'm not teaching, I enjoy running, reading, cooking, and watching stand-up specials or movies with friends.

I am passionate about providing a collaborative, constructive experience by encouraging observation, questioning, and action. My teaching style is step-by-step, student-centered, and focused on helping students understand why concepts work instead of just memorizing formulas.
