I am constantly monitoring their understanding. If the lesson seems too difficult, I will take a step back and switch direction by reteaching an earlier skill. If the lesson is going very well, I will add in more challenging activities. I always come prepared with multiple levels of each activity.

I am constantly reading and trying to learn something new. I try to tailor all of my tutoring sessions to each of my students. I spend time getting to know each student, so that we can work in a way that will help him or her get to where he or she wants to be.

I am currently a Junior obtaining my bachelors in History secondary education at St. Joseph's college. I have been tutoring for 4 years for Eastern Suffolk BOCES in a migrant program. My favorite subject to teach or tutor is history. I enjoy learning about different cultures and their history. In my spare time I go to the gym and play basketball.
