I am currently an undergraduate student pursuing a Computer Science degree at Fordham University. This is my first year tutoring as my only real experience was helping classmates do their homework. However, when it comes with teaching others math, I've always held the belief that people need to learn each individual step in a mathematical problem. I believe this is something that can improve student's understanding in math. I also make sure students are engaged and have fun with learning math.

I am entering my 7th year of teaching. I am a certified kindergarten through fifth grade teacher. I currently teach 4th grade and have also taught 1st and 2nd grades. I am particularly passionate about helping students improve in reading comprehension, vocabulary building, and essay writing. While many students find these subjects daunting, I think that with the right strategies, anyone can improve in these areas. When I'm not tutoring, I enjoy reading, writing short stories, and regularly posting on Tumblr.

I am an attorney. I have tutored children for many years as I am an avid learner. Two of my own children have some learning issues and I have worked with them to achieve success. This gave me the ability to tutor other children as I have seen what works with students and what does not work. The key to academic success is confidence. Without confidence there can be no progress.

I am most passionate about helping people learn history, social sciences, and mathematics. I also assist with standardized test prep, primarily with the Reading and Writing sections of the exams.
