I am a knowledgeable, passionate, and compassionate tutor. My teaching experience ranges from high school instruction, private tutoring, coaching, preaching, and leading high school youth groups. I have tutored and/or taught in algebra 1, geometry, American literature, world literature, middle school math, middle school science, middle school English/reading, American history, world history, essay composition, SAT prep, SSAT/ISEE prep, SHSAT prep, and GRE prep. I always try to discern what the individual needs and learning styles of my students are and then try to meet them where they are. I believe that there is a great student inside everyone, and it takes the right approach to make that great student manifest.

I am a retired Wall Street research executive turned teacher/tutor and have spent the last 2 years teaching and tutoring students in Westchester for standardized tests and academic subjects (high school, college, and graduate level). I have taught over two hundred students in the classroom and have privately tutored over 30 students in: Statistics (both AP and college level), Physics (regents, high school, AP, and SAT II), Math (SAT, SAT II level 1 and 2, Algebra, Trig, Pre-Calc, and Business Math), and Business (Graduate level Finance and Marketing). I have tutored students preparing for the SAT, SSAT, and ISEE exams and am qualified and prepared to tutor the ACT and GMAT tests.
I am a graduate of the College of William and Mary 2014 with a B.A. in Linguistics and History. Currently I am a M.A./Ph.D student in Linguistics at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. My current research deals with how language is used and how understanding can change in differing contexts, for example how people define what counts as a lie, and how our brains process emojis. At the University of Illinois, I've taught several linguistics courses, including the popular Linguistics 100 introductory course. I spent a semester abroad in Sevilla, Spain during my undergraduate studies and that remains one of the best experiences of my life.
I am a Finance major at Mercy College in New York, having transferred this Fall from Vanderbilt University in Nashville. My goal to simply help my students achieve the results they desire and to help them set up the habits which will let them reproduce these results in the future.
I am a recent graduate from the University of Pennsylvania. I love working with children and my favorite subject to tutor is Math. I enjoy solving problems and taking my students on a journey to a solution. I have been a tutor for about 10 years and I have worked as both a peer tutor and assistant teacher in various schools. I specialize in providing tutoring in Elementary and Middle School Math, Science, and English. I also provide Malayalam tutoring.
I am a graduate of Vanderbilt University. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Economics and History with a minor in Art History. Since graduation, I have worked full time in business development for a large healthcare corporation and have also pursued entrepreneurial/ start-up ambitions. I have made time to travel the world (recently visited France, Switzerland, Italy, India, Brazil, and Iceland). I have played guitar for over 15 years and also spend time drawing live models! For several years I was a tutor and coach for the Boston Scholar Athletes Program, a program focused on teaching English and Math to student-athletes and then coaching them in soccer. I tutor a broad range of subjects, although I am most interested in Algebra, History, and English Literature. I am constantly learning and looking to help others learn too! I love teaching and strive to achieve that "AHA!" moment.
I'm earning a Masters degree in Real Estate Development from NYU's Schack Institute of Real Estate.
I am a huge fan of quizzing, and I do this at the end of almost every session with my students.
I am a tutor in the Westchester, NY area. I tutor Spanish and English. I graduated from Villanova University and am starting my MA in Spanish at Middlebury College. I studied for eight months in the beautiful city of Madrid, Spain.
I am working towards two bachelors degrees: a BFA in Creative Writing and a BA in Psychology.
As a passionate educator with a Bachelor's in History from Princeton University and a Master's in Music from Yale University, I have over 2 years of tutoring experience in subjects, with particular specialization in history, academic writing, and politics. My teaching philosophy centers on breaking down difficult concepts into more accessible and digestible forms of knowledge. I believe in tailoring my approach to meet each student's unique needs, utilizing creative methods to enhance understanding and retention. My dedication to helping students succeed is reflected in their improved confidence and performance. Outside of tutoring, I enjoy exploring different cultures through music and language, which enriches my teaching and connects me with my students on a personal level.
