Hello! I'm Nicole and I'm a certified Physician Assistant in NYC. I am a graduate of Wagner College in Staten Island, New York, where I received my Master's Degree in Physician Assistant Studies. I was also the President a Co-Founder of my program's student-led leadership association under the AAPA. I know how it feels to struggle with school and feeling like you're not ready for the exam. One of the things I like to emphasize is that anyone who has gone through the rigorous trials of PA school CAN pass the PANCE. I am also passionate about music, theatre, art, and public speaking, and try to find ways to incorporate what I love into what I do every day.And lastly, I'm also a previous student of Varsity Tutors! I am a marketing and communications professional by day looking for the opportunity to tutor students during evening and weekend hours. I speak and write English, Spanish, and French fluently. My tutoring and teaching background includes providing Spanish instruction and homework review (all subjects) to middle school students at an after-school program, teaching practical Spanish and French to medical professionals, and most recently served as course assistant (five times) at New York University's School for Global Public Health from which I graduated with an MPH in 2023. I also have an MBA in marketing and my career is aligned with and requires strong communication skills, both spoken and written. I enjoy working with students of all ages at different proficiency levels in English writing, Spanish, and French. Prefer to tutor remotely or in person (if in Manhattan). I am a recent graduate of Wagner College who received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing with a minor in French. I am currently a RN at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia in the Pediatric ICU and come with fresh experience in NCLEX/TEAS test prep and clinical fieldwork. I have tutored students in the past with Kumon, in private, and while in university, so I'm very familiar working with students of all ages (children and adults alike), and very excited to begin work with Varsity Tutors! I always make sure to have fun and involve students in lessons so that the subjects are more relatable to students and they can find personal ways to engage with the topics taught. Although I tutor a broad range of subjects, I am most passionate about French language and culture, particularly francophone tradition, food, and celebration. My trips to France really kept my French knowledge and interests alive.

I have bachelors in chemistry & did some graduate school in toxicology. It is a fundamental communication tool that is essential for everyone.With that being said, my passion really lies in the health sciences, so teaching chemistry & biology have always been special to me. I am a native Philadelphian but received my undergraduate degree from York University in Toronto, Canada. After receiving my undergraduate degree I moved to Bangkok, Thailand to teach English at a private bilingual school. I worked as an ESL instructor, Kindergarten teacher, private tutoring instructor, and Kindergarten department head during my four years in Thailand. Outside of my normal duties of being a homeroom teacher or administrator at the private school I worked at, I also tutored English and basic Math to young students in their homes around Bangkok. I love tutoring because not only is it rewarding to help someone academically, it helps me as a teacher understand a range of student needs that may be overlooked in the big classroom. I enjoy working with students of all ages and have experience working with elementary students assisting in phonics, reading, writing, and arithmetic development as well as English language development for second language learners in college or for business purposes. I am currently attending Wagner College as a Graduate student in Childhood & Special Education and am a graduate assistant for the Early Childhood Center of Wagner College. In my free time, I love exploring New York city, writing and reading poetry/spoken word at open mic nights, and am currently working on my own independent children's music album.

Hi there! I recently graduated Wagner College with a BA in Theatre/Speech and a Minor in Dance. For three years, I was a WIT (Writing Intensive Tutor) at the college, focusing mostly on English and Writing (essays, term papers, stories). In addition to these subjects, I also have experience tutoring Psychology, English Literature and Composition, US History, and Biology. I am also well-equipped to teach Voice, Audition Preparation, Music, and IB Theatre. I thoroughly enjoy rekindling the passion in students to grasp a particular subject they are struggling with. Learning should be presented in a fun, exciting way, while still making sure the student is understanding the material. I specialize in Algebra I through College Algebra, focusing on step-by-step procedures and real-world applications to make complex equations manageable. My goal is to provide students with both the standard methods and creative alternate strategies needed to master high school and college-level mathematics.
