I am a graduate of Molloy College and hold a Masters Degree in Adolescent Education (Grades 7-12) in English Language Arts. I am currently teaching ELA in grades 5-8 and have experience working with grades K-12. I am passionate about reading, writing, grammar, and literacy skills, and specialize in proofreading and editing. As an educator, my goal is to foster a love of reading and writing and creating a fun, inclusive classroom environment regardless of whether it is in-person or remote.

I am a professional educator with several years of experience. I have recently retired and hope to continue my teaching career by tutoring. I have taught all elementary and middle school grades with an emphasis on English, Mathematics, and Technology. My educational philosophy is one that is committed to excellence. I'm very passionate about working with students to help them better understand mathematics. I have a bachelor's degree in Mathematics and I am in Graduate school pursuing a Masters in Adolescent Math Education. In the next 2 years I hope to start Teaching math on the middle school or high school level. I hope to give students a strong understanding of math and change those students that "hate" math into students who at least persevere through it because they understand it's importance.

I am even more excited to tutor in my favorite subject - accounting. As a current accounting student at Molloy College, I have taken classes in Financial and Managerial accounting. Experience has taught me that, while accounting may seem difficult at times, persistence and an understanding of the overarching-accounting concepts helps to overcome the hurdles.
