As a passionate educator with a Bachelor's in History from Le Moyne College, I have over 2 years of tutoring experience in high school Geography and World History, as well as middle school Social Studies. I bring over 40 years experience teaching and directing children's experiential learning programs to tutoring your child online or virtually providing at-home classes. I hold permanent New York State Birth - Grade 6 teaching certification and I recently received a Master's in Education from LeMoyne College in Syracuse. As a tutor or remote teacher I will use my dedication to finding your child's individual learning style. My approach is positive and encouraging. By learning about your child's interests and unique personality I will craft activities which ensure ownership in the learning process. I consider both you, your child, and other educators/support persons (when applicable) as partners in your child's success. Most recently, in conjunction with the Syracuse City School District, I directed Erwin PreSchool, a quality early childhood program, and I served as an Early Childhood Specialist, working closely with the director, the district, and Universal Pre-Kindergarten teachers to ensure best practices. During COVID, I was privileged to not only support teachers while they conducted lively virtual learning, but I actually led many sessions myself. Generating enthusiasm for the learning progress, skillful individualization, experience in many education areas, and a pleasant, encouraging manner are among what I will provide. I received my B.S in Biochemistry from Le Moyne College, Syracuse NY. Currently, I'm a Doctoral student pursuing a medical degree at Texas A&M and I will graduate in May. I have been tutoring undergraduates since 2007. I have tutored science classes, Arabic, and mathematics. My favorite subject is Organic chemistry because I was a TA and workshop leader for 2 years. I also did 2 years of organic chemistry research. My passion to tutor comes from my love to education and knowledge. I have found that my teaching style changes according to the subject and student I am tutoring. My goal is to get my students not only a good score but also the confidence to use the information they learn in everyday life. I also love helping students in their everyday life so I worked as a Resident Advisor in dorms of my college for three years. I love playing my guitar, dancing, playing basketball and reading

I earned my bachelors in Psychology and Sociology with a minor in Gender and Women Studies from Le Moyne College. I believe that access to educational support is extremely important so I've worked at as a tutor for almost 6 years. I've tutored grades 1-8 in math, science, reading, and writing. I've also worked with high school and college students to improve studying skills that can help in Psychology and English classes. Furthermore, I have a lot of tips on how to write a thesis that I've gained from my own thesis writing experience.
