I am a recent graduate of Columbia University's American Studies MA program. I received my undergraduate degree at NYU in Journalism and Africana Studies. I have over 2 years experience helping students in NYC. I love reading, writing, and social and cultural analysis.

I am currently a rising sophomore at Washington University in St. Louis. I am majoring in Biology and hope to enter medical school following my completion of college. I am passionate about math and science and enjoy teaching these subjects to students having difficulty. I am patient and know how to impart information in an understandable way.
I am thrilled to be a part of this platform where we can work together to further our educational pursuits. Currently, I am a Teacher Resident at the NYU Accelerated MAT program in Secondary English Education. This means that come September, I will be an ELA teacher working at a NY Public School. My intentions here are to hone in on my individuated mentoring practice as well as to provide rigorous tutoring and support for all my students. The key here is not just learning the subject material, but learning to learn well. Discipline and Agency are foundational! I look forward to meeting you and starting our learning journey.
I am a graduate of the University of Chicago, with a bachelor's degree in psychology and linguistics. Currently, I am pursuing a master's degree in speech-language pathology at Teachers College, Columbia University. In the past, I have worked as a teacher's aide in a public school classroom, a mentor to middle school girls, an instructor and tutor at the literacy education organization 826, and a summer camp counselor. I tutor a diverse range of subjects, and I find that I especially enjoy tutoring language arts, reading, and writing at all levels, from elementary school all the way up to college/grad school test prep. As a tutor, I am committed to helping students reach their full potential as learners. Throughout my years as an educator, I have seen firsthand the remarkable academic growth that can occur when tutors provide students with the individualized support that they need. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, journaling, and learning about other languages and cultures.
I am a graduate of Washington University in St Louis, where I received my Bachelor of Arts in History with minors in Humanities and Anthropology. Since graduation, I have worked as a tutor, teacher, and director of tutors at a charter public middle school in Boston. During this time I also received my Masters in Mild to Moderate Disabilities from Simmons College. I have worked extensively with students with a range of abilities, including students with specific learning disabilities, emotional impairments, dyslexia, and ADHD. My teaching experience has given me a deep understanding of the knowledge and habits essential to academic success and has given me the opportunity to hone a variety of strategies that ensure students at each level can achieve their academic goals. While I tutor a broad range of subjects, my favorite ones are Reading, Elementary/Middle School Math, History, and Test Prep. In my experience, tutoring is the most rewarding when a student has that "aha!" moment and achieves a new level of understanding and confidence in his/her abilities. I am a firm believer in the transformative power of education, and I see my role to be that of a facilitator and coach who is there to help the student reach his/her goals through individualized support and rigorous practice. In my free time, I enjoy reading, running, practicing my Spanish, and discovering new music. I am also an avid traveler and just got back from a 3 month trip to South America. I look forward to the opportunity to work with you!
I am currently a senior at Harvard College where I study chemistry, and I'll be attending Columbia Medical School next year. I have years of experience tutoring college students in math (mostly calculus) and chemistry including both general and organic chemistry. In addition, I am very familiar with all sections of the SAT and ACT having prepared several high school students for these tests. I believe that every student is capable of boosting his or her baseline score on these tests, so long as he or she works hard to get to know the format of the tests and the most popular types of questions. I tutor because I love seeing students develop a genuine passion for the subjects they once disliked (such as math and science), once they understand the power of these subjects and their applications to the real world.
I am an entrepreneurial travel-loving media professional living in New Orleans. I have a Master in Business Administration from Tulane University and I love teaching all sorts of subjects, especially math. In terms of hobbies, you can find me long-distance running, studying data science, exploring new restaurants and traveling the world.
I am an experienced tutor with a background in economics, math, writing, and standardized test preparation. I studied Economics and Data Science at Stanford University, and I enjoy helping students break down difficult material into clear, manageable steps. My tutoring style is patient, structured, and personalized. I believe in pairing targeted test preparation with content lessons. I focus on understanding where a student is getting stuck, then explaining concepts in a way that matches how they think. The goal of our lessons is to be comfortable with the test/assignment you have in front of you and have a full grasp on the content you need to know. Whether I am helping with SAT grammar, math problems, economics, or writing, my goal is to build both understanding and confidence. My goal is to help each student make measurable progress, strengthen their academic skills, and become more confident and prepared for whateve academic challenge they are facing.
I am a rising third-year student at Trinity College Dublin, and I am working towards a degree in English Literature. I have a lot of practical test-taking and study skills to offer, particularly in high school and middle school academics and standardized testing! I also consider myself a well-rounded student, so though my passion lies in English and writing, I love to teach math, science, and history subjects as well!
I am recent graduate of Yale University. After an intensive application cycle and four years of college, I hope to be able to impart to others the wisdom I have learned. I have four years of freelance tutoring experience in college admissions and the MCAT. Overall, tutoring is a way that I can support the students who will be in my shoes. Everyone deserves to unlock their full potential, and I can't wait to be a part of that! I love getting to know new people and personalizing education to each specific situation. My teaching style is all about tailoring and individualizing.
I am a recent graduate from a masters program in biostatistics at Columbia University. I received my Bachelor of Arts in biological sciences, with a focus in neurobiology at Northwestern University. In August, I will be starting a doctoral program in biostatistics at NYU. I was a teaching assistant at Columbia University in my department and also have tutored graduate students and undergraduates privately as well. My primary areas of tutoring are math and statistics coursework in addition to math sections on standardized tests such as the GRE and GMAT. I am very passionate about helping students feel more confident and excited about math. In my spare time, I enjoy running, playing piano, and spending time with friends and family.
I'm a recent Stanford graduate (Electrical Engineering and Computer Science), and have been working at a major Management Consulting firm for a few years now. I personally scored a 2360 (out of 2400) on the SAT and 35 on the ACT and was successful in gaining admission to several top universities. I'm looking forward to helping you improve your scores towards improving your chances at getting in to your dream school.
