I started teaching because I enjoyed helping students at Baruch College prep for graduate school entrance exams (GMAT, LSAT, GRE). Many of these students were the first in their families to attend college. I've been teaching math for 25+ years, both in a classroom setting and, more recently, on-line. If you are my student I would encourage you to first think through the problem and work it through on your own whenever possible, as it helps to foster self-confidence.
