I have an undergraduate degree in computer graphics and interactive media from Pratt Institute (2003) and a master degree in electronic art from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (2015). My favorite subjects to tutor are highschool math, C#, and python for data science. I find comfort in the structured logic of math and programming. It gives me the illusion that our existance can be understood and measured at times when nothing makese sense and the world feels like it's falling apart.

I firmly believe that the vast majority of students who believe they are "bad at math" have tragically internalized this identity without true justification. I have personally seen students of mine shed that persona and it is a special thing to witness.

I have a Master in Business Administration from Tulane University and I love teaching all sorts of subjects, especially math. I am a graduate of Brown University who tutors high school students via Skype or in person in the SATs, PSATs, and/or the SAT Math 2 Subject Test. I had a wonderful tutor for the SATs and for the SAT Math 2 Tests, so I understand how the standardized test tutoring process can be productive, fun, and ultimately successful. I also understand the importance of tailoring the process to the students individual abilities and needs. In high school, I tutored elementary school students in math, reading, and writing, and I tutored my classmates at my school's math center. Since I am also working towards a career in molecular biology, I use math and science every day, and I can explain real-world applications and uses for these subjects that may not seem obvious. I graduated from Brooklyn Technical High School as a Law & Society major, and have lived in Manhattan my entire life. I am also an athlete. I'm currently a third-degree black belt in Taekwondo. I also played baseball and soccer competitively in high school. My main tutoring focus is algebra, which I enjoy teaching because it builds the foundation for success in more advanced math courses. My primary teaching experience comes from working as a lead teacher at NORY, a STEM-based summer camp. In that role, I managed classroom environments for children ages 8-12 while delivering inquiry-driven STEM lessons. These included introducing core physics concepts and beginner coding with platforms like Scratch through hands-on maker projects. In addition, I've spent significant time tutoring my younger sister in high school and middle school math.
