Tutoring review by Anna in West Seneca, NY
The student and I reviewed her homework assignment. This assignment included identifying the characteristics of a parabola, solving for the roots/zeros of a function, finding a function value using synthetic division, and finding an equation for polynomial with given intercepts. The student did well today. She should thoroughly study this topic to ensure that she has a good foundation in the subject. I left her with some notes summarizing our session.

Tutoring review by Austin in West Seneca, NY
The student and I continued working on his review sheet for the final exam. We were able to go through material more quickly than our previous session because he had a better grasp of what we were going through. We covered adding, subtracting, dividing, and multiplying decimals; order of operations; and a few algebraic expressions. The student and I also worked on double digit multiplication, two digit divisors, algebraic expressions, and multiplication tables in preparation for his final exam. He seems to have a good understanding of these subjects. I reminded him to check and double-check his work, and he seems to understand the importance of this now.

I helped the student prepare for his test on 12/15. Went over a review that was handed out in class as well as some supplemental web based work on graphing and proportions. We will continue to prep for his midterm. He needs some review with solving equations for variables and how that ties into graphing concepts.
