School @ Home

Enjoy all the benefits of homeschooling,
without all the work.

Now enrolling for Winter/Spring 2021.

Homeschool, simplified.

With School@Home, we’re offering a convenient and highly effective approach to live, online homeschooling for K-8 students. We handle the heavy lifting so you and your student can better enjoy the act of learning.

More Personal Attention

Your student can get the attention they need with private tutoring and classes with low student-to-instructor ratios. Plus, a dedicated team of counselors is always on hand to help you navigate homeschooling.

Highly Engaging Experiences

Small class sizes, more hands-on learning, and celebrity “field trips” result in a higher level of engaged learning. And as classes include kids from across the country, your student’s expanding worldview is like extra credit.

Incredibly Easy

From enrollment to accreditation support to IEP assistance, we’re here to help every step of the way. And because we handle the instruction and scheduling, School@Home is so much more than homeschooling.

Structured, yet Flexible

Our structured curriculum and personalized learning plans meet your student where they are. While our enrichment classes give your student more chances to learn what they want, however they want to learn it.

School@Home classes are very engaging. Our 1st grader is always participating, constantly answering and asking questions. Fabulous program with a remarkably reasonable tuition rate!

Why did Varsity Tutors create School@Home?

As the state of education continues to change, we developed School@Home to fill a growing need among parents looking for quality education. As a leader in online education, with over 40,000 carefully vetted educators, we realized we had an opportunity to help countless families “do school better.”

With School@Home, we can provide a flexible, personalized, and engaging solution for families that meets them where they are. We can work with families who'd like to replace traditional school but don’t want the burden of doing all the work to homeschool.

How much does it cost?

School@Home is as flexible as your needs require. Pay as you go, month by month. Upgrade or downgrade your plan whenever your needs change. And you can cancel at any time.

How do I get started?

If you are ready to enroll, or have further questions, you can call one of our Educational Consultants at (800) 915-4957. To hold your spot in our program, we require that you make a deposit equal to the cost of the first month of the program you select. This deposit is fully refundable. You can call the same number to make the deposit.

How much work do I need to do as a parent?

We can provide live instruction along with planning, scheduling, homework assignments, and progress reporting. We can even help you explore your state’s requirements for homeschooling. This is homeschooling for parents who don’t have time to homeschool.

Does this cover an entire school year or just one semester/two quarters?

You choose. We’ll work with you to ensure you get the right level of help for your family’s needs.

How does accreditation work?

Both packages come with an accreditation consultant who can work with you to ensure your student satisfies all homeschooling requirements specific to where you live.

School@Home is not an accredited school.

How do you know what is best for my student?

When your student completes our adaptive assessments, we can identify their needs, strengths, and weaknesses. From there, we use our smart matching algorithms to identify the best educators and classes for their specific needs. It’s a lot of science and a little bit magic.

Who are the educators?

All online tutors and educators go through our rigorous vetting process, and only a tiny fraction who apply are ultimately chosen. Why are we so selective of our educators? Facilitating outstanding instruction is at the forefront of our work, and this requires incredible educators.

Can my student start the school year in physical school and decide to switch to School@Home later?

Yes. If you begin in normal school and decide you want to move to the School@Home program, we can accommodate this transition.
